The first species to come to the ancient Palman gate station now called the Citadel since its abandonment by the aliens of the last cycle, the Asari originally proposed the formation of the Citadel Council to promote peace and stability in the region they live in. While technically Asari don't have a sex, they appear as a race of beautiful women. They procreate through a form of parthenogenesis that allows them to attune their nervous system to any species and of any gender. This process may or may not involve physical contact, depending on the individual the Asari is attempting to mate with.
Personality:
Asari can live to be over 1,000 years old and have three stages to their life: Maiden, Matron, and Matriarch. In the Maiden stage, Asari seek to go out and learn as much about the galaxy as they can. Military service is also common in this stage. In the Matron stage, Asari seek to mate with interesting partners in order to have daughters of their own. The Matriarch stage grants an Asari great power and influence over other Asari as they will defer to the wisdom of the Matriarchs in times of crisis.

Natural Telekinetics
Telekinesis is a Class skill for asari regardless of class.
Assimilated Heritage:
Asari often use their unique method of reproduction to assimilate traits of other species into their offspring.
Asari may choose to possess any single special quality of any other species to reflect this, with the exception of ability bonuses.

Neural Attunement:
Asari have a natural ability to attune their nervous systems to those of another non-mindless being, which they evolved for reproductive purposes.
If a Asari is in direct contact with an individual with at least 3 intelligence as a move action they can enter a "mind meld". In this meld the Asari's mind and their target's mind are linked and each is aware immediately of the other's surface thoughts. As a swift action either party in the meld can attempt (by making an opposed will save) to pull information from deep within the other's mind. Against non-Asari, Asari gain +2 when pulling information. Normally the target must either be willing or grappled to be able to be subjected to the meld, and if they break the grapple the meld is broken and both the Asari and the subject take 1d6 subdual damage.

Ardat-Yakshi
(meaning 'Demon of the Night Winds' in an old asari dialect) is a rare genetic condition in asari, specifically affecting their nervous systems. Although the condition does not harm the asari, during mating the Ardat-Yakshi's nervous system completely overpowers and dominates that of her mate's, causing hemorrhaging in the victim's brain, and ultimately death in extreme cases. As a result, the Ardat-Yakshi becomes smarter, stronger, and deadlier after each encounter as they Siphon Hit-points and experience from their victims.
