Per famous education researcher John Hattie, high student expectations has the second highest impact on learning, right after teacher collaboration.
The scholar Leadership Notebook (binder) helps students organize, plan, and monitor their own progress toward high expectations (goals) at home. At home parents and their scholars practice conversations about expectations, learning, feedback, and asking for help.
There is a separate parent Coach Notebook with content for how to help scholars.
