National PTA's, of which we belong, mission is "to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children."
We are the 'wind at the backs' of all of those responsible for Dingle, with a focus on supporting those on site (teaching staff, tutors, the principal, scholars, etc.).
Belief in the academic potential of ALL Dingle's students and in the potential of ALL staff to excel in delivering learning
Respect for the craft of teaching, complexity of running schools, employees, parents, and students - also, respect for time
Service such as share, award, and recognize rather than boss, demean, command, etc.; schools get lots of input
Safety to support open dialog and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders
Listen first to understand
Treat all staff - school and district - like they are the heroes of closing the achievement gap
Save time by collaborating, growing our teams, using existing structures (meetings, etc.), and divide-and-do work
Parent-friendly communications (<7 minute Facebook/YouTube videos or <150 word PTA newsletter articles, in English/Spanish)
Prioritize projects that have the biggest impact on closing the achievement gap with the least effort first
Share information easily and transparently
Comply with PTA bylaws, policies, and laws
