27-year-old Dilan is from Iznik, the "porcelain capital" of Turkey. Out of her love for the ancient craft of ceramic manufacturing, she came to Jingdezhen Ceramics University in 2023 to pursue a doctorate. Both Jingdezhen, China and Iznik, Turkey have a long history of ceramic manufacturing. The ceramic cultures from two ancient civilizations met and collided in Jingdezhen, which made Dilan intoxicated. Jingdezhen is half of the history of ceramics. This "Millennium Porcelain Capital" has become a bridge for mutual learning between Eastern and Western civilizations, attracting dreamers from all over the world.
