Dilan Atasayar is a Turkish ceramic artist, designer, and researcher whose work explores the intersections of traditional and contemporary ceramic practices through cross-cultural perspectives. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in traditional Turkish arts from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (Türkiye) and recently completed her Ph.D. in design at Jingdezhen Ceramic University (China). Her research focuses on the artistic, historical, and technological exchanges between Ottoman İznik ceramics and Chinese Jingdezhen porcelain traditions.

Combining traditional Turkish underglaze decoration techniques with contemporary ceramic practices, Atasayar's work investigates cultural memory, visual narratives, and the transmission of ceramic knowledge across civilizations. Currently drawing inspiration from both Anatolian and Chinese ceramic heritage, she creates works that foster dialogue between Eastern and Western artistic traditions.

Her works have been exhibited internationally in China, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom, including exhibitions at Istanbul Design Week, Istanbul Planning Agency, Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum (China), Taoxichuan Art Weekend, and the Spode Museum (United Kingdom). Her artistic and cultural activities have been featured by major media platforms, including CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Henan TV, and Jiangxi TV.

Atasayar is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), Geneva, Switzerland, the world's most prestigious organization dedicated to ceramic art and the only international ceramic institution officially recognized by UNESCO. Through her membership, she actively engages with a global network of leading ceramic artists, scholars, curators, and museums, contributing to international dialogue and collaboration in the field of contemporary ceramics.

Her achievements include the ISFS Best Design Award (2025), the Jingdezhen Nongshang Cup Ceramic Design Competition Second Prize (2025), the Silk Road Letter Competition First Prize (2022), and the Taoxichuan Cultural Communication Ambassador distinction. She was awarded both the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Confucius Institute Scholarship and has participated in numerous international cultural exchange and research initiatives.

Currently, Atasayar continues her artistic practice and research at the intersection of contemporary ceramic art, cultural heritage, and intercultural dialogue while participating in international exhibitions, competitions, and artist development programs.
