Lucy Swann is a 5th-grade teacher in Austin, Texas, and is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Educational Technology. She began her career during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when technology played a vital role in education. The use of technology in the classroom has evolved over the years, but its impact remains. At her school, Lucy regularly takes on leadership roles such as team lead, science fair organizer, and sponsor of domestic and international trips. She uses technology to organize and effectively communicate and present to students, families, and staff. Some of the technology she uses frequently is Google Workspace, gamified learning platforms, and online curriculum programs.
