Mr. Matt McClain is the technology teacher for Clayton Intermediate School in Smyrna, Delaware. Being a specialty teacher, he teaches all of the fifth and sixth grade classes within the school. He sees each class for forty-five minute blocks over the course of the week.  This is Matt’s fifth year as the technology teacher for Clayton intermediate school. Before stepping into the role as the technology teacher, he had been an English teacher for the Smyrna School District since the beginning of his career. . Having a background as a core subject teacher has given Matt the opportunity to see the massive impacts that technology is having within the classroom on all fronts. Matt is the lead for the technology club and the student council in Clayton Intermediate. Through both of these clubs he takes his students experience with their technology to the next level through coding programs and digital design programs that are used to create the yearbook, posters for school events, and signs for teachers around the building.
