Dr. Delaney is an accomplished entomologist specializing in honey bee biology, with a Ph.D. in Entomology from Washington State University and an M.S. in Environmental Science from Oregon State University. Her research focuses on the evolutionary biology and population genetics of honey bees, the benefits of polyandry for colony health, and the ecological value of forage for pollinators. She is actively involved in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for managing honey bee pests and investigates the impacts of soil health on floral rewards. Dr. Delaney teaches courses such as Insects and Societies, Pollination Ecology, and Aquatic Entomology, and is a member of various professional organizations, including the Entomological Society of America and the Honey Bee Health Coalition.
