About this tool

Besides attending classes, learners are also asked to do some individual work at home. And it sometimes happens that a learner cannot attend a class. It is therefore important that each learner establishes an individual study plan, including the following information:

  • what subject to follow in which week / lesson?

  • what assignments to complete and by when?

  • what extra materials to use for each subject?

Catch Up includes guidelines to develop these study plans so that adult learners can make better use of their class time.

How to use this tool?

This tool includes 2 PowerPoint presentations in film format, one for teachers and one for adult learners.

  1. First step : the teacher watches the video and creates the general study plan. Schools usually have their own tools or online platforms. For those who do not or prefer a different software than the one used by the school, we recommend Trello. This tool is also further explained in the video.

  2. Second step - the teacher shows the video to the adult learners, and provides them with the link and access details to access the study plan. This is the basis for adult learners to create their own personal study plan, following the video instructions and using Trello or any other tools.

Not sure your adult learners will like this digital approach? You can provide them with a (paper) template for their own study plan. Fill in the subjects, assignments and deadlines (those you know in advance) and have them fill in their own details.
