Chris Jurgens

As a Director for Impact Investing, Chris leads Omidyar Network’s efforts focused on increasing the reach and effectiveness of the impact investing industry through catalytic investments, research, and field building initiatives. His work particularly focuses on building partnerships and driving innovations to increase the flow of “frontier capital” to early stage enterprises in emerging markets.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was Director of Private Sector Partnerships at USAID’s Global Development Lab, where he oversaw the Agency’s entrepreneurship and impact investing portfolio as well as the Global Development Alliance, USAID’s flagship program for building shared value partnerships with companies. Chris previously was a Managing Director at Accenture, where he served as Director of Global Programs for Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP), the firm’s international development consulting practice.

Chris has a Master’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a B.A. in economics and international studies from Miami University, where he was a Truman Scholar.
