Triple Jump and PwC – on behalf of the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) Financing Local SMEs initiative - will be hosting the conference, Closing the SME Finance Gap: Empowering Young & Women Entrepreneurs in Frontier Markets.

Since its launch in 2014 by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DGGF Financing Local SMEs initiative, has been a driver of improved access to finance for the ‘missing middle’ in frontier markets. The objectives of this event are three-fold: exploring and discussing scalable and innovative SME financing solutions, sharing the insights and lessons learned, and building new partnerships and collaborations with DGGF investees, (co-)investors, partners and policymakers. We hope to see you at this unique knowledge sharing event!

We are glad to announce Yvonne Ndege as an MC of the day!

Yvonne Ndege is an award-winning British international television journalist and media and communications professional and expert. She started her career at the BBC in London where she worked as on-air tv and radio Correspondent for a decade. In 2007 she was headhunted by Al Jazeera English and helped launch the channel in East Africa and West Africa. Spanning a career of over 18 years, Yvonne has reported from and anchored programmes from over 30 developing countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa. Yvonne is currently lead communications for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in Nairobi, Kenya .

The Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) Financing Local SMEs in an initiative of the Dutch government to stimulate entrepreneurship and create jobs in frontier markets. It is part of a larger initiative commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of its Aid and Trade agenda. DGGF Financing Local SMEs is managed by a consortium consisting of Triple Jump B.V. and PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory N.V. (PwC).
