Izabela Marić (PCC)
Izabela Marić, Program + Verbasana Academy Director and Lead Teacher (YT 1300, E-RYT 500, ICF PCC), is the founder of Verbasana Yoga Studio + Academy and a highly experienced yoga educator with over 20 years of personal practice and more than a decade of teaching internationally.
Her work centers on creating grounded, intentional spaces for mindful movement, breath, and presence, guiding students into a deeper relationship with yoga as a pathway to inner peace, self-awareness, and transformation.
Izabela has completed four advanced yoga teacher trainings across Croatia and India, totaling more than 1,300 hours of formal study. She has spent 15 winters in India living in ashrams and traditional yoga centers with her daughter, immersing herself in yogic philosophy, language, and culture. Her studies in Hindi and Sanskrit inform her ability to share original teachings in ways that are both accessible and relevant to modern life.
She leads holistic retreats around the world, including India, Bali, Europe, and the United States, and facilitates online programs through Amarya Academy. Izabela’s teaching is known for its authenticity, warmth, and depth, supporting students in cultivating strength, clarity, and a sense of wholeness.

Svemir Vranko (CHC)
Svemir Vranko (YT 300), Sound Therapist, and Master of Pedagogy, is a certified yoga teacher and holistic practitioner with a deep focus on the integration of body, energy, and sound.
With formal training in yoga and Ayurveda, Svemir also serves as a trainer for holistic coaches at the American Amarya Academy for Holistic Coaching. His work reflects a nuanced understanding of the interplay between the somatic and energetic bodies, including the chakra system and vibrational awareness.
Svemir weaves together sound therapy, meditation, and yoga to create immersive, multidimensional experiences that support regulation, presence, and transformation. His teaching invites students to explore the deeper purpose of yoga beyond form, using vibration and awareness as pathways to inner alignment and peace.
He is the founder of the YOMAD Festival (Yoga, Music, and Dance) and co-leads international retreats in collaboration with Izabela Marić.
Dez Stephens (MCC)
Dez Stephens is a Master Certified Coach (MCC), educator, and founder of Amarya Coach Academy, with more than two decades of experience in coaching, training, and transformational leadership.
A master trainer and media producer, Dez brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work, integrating coaching, storytelling, and social impact to support both individual and collective growth. Her work is rooted in making professional coaching more accessible, inclusive, and aligned with real-world change.
Dez is known for weaving together activism, healing, and leadership, guiding people to live and lead with clarity, presence, and purpose while contributing meaningfully to their communities and the world.
The Verbasana 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance-accredited program designed to prepare students to become skilled, confident, and transformative yoga teachers. This comprehensive training integrates both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga traditions with a range of holistic and therapeutic practices, offering a deeply immersive and personal learning experience.
Asana (Postures)
Students develop a strong foundation in yoga postures through focused study of alignment, hands-on adjustments, and the biomechanics of movement. Emphasis is placed on safe, effective, and accessible practice for diverse bodies.
Pranayama + Meditation
The training explores breathwork techniques alongside a variety of meditation practices, including mindfulness and Yoga Nidra. Students learn how to regulate energy, cultivate presence, and guide others into deeper states of awareness.
Yoga Philosophy
Participants are introduced to key classical texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita. The program emphasizes practical application of yogic principles for modern life.
Anatomy + Physiology
A functional approach to anatomy and physiology supports safe teaching practices. Students gain an understanding of how the body moves, common injury considerations, and how to adapt practices to meet individual needs.
Teaching Methodology
Students learn how to design and lead effective classes, including sequencing, cueing, theming, and group facilitation. This component builds confidence in holding space and communicating clearly as a teacher.
Ayurveda + Yogic Lifestyle
The training introduces foundational concepts of Ayurveda, including doshas and body-mind balance. Students explore how lifestyle, nutrition, and daily rhythms support overall wellbeing.
Sound Therapy + Mantras
Participants experience the use of sound, vibration, and mantra as tools for healing, regulation, and deeper connection within practice.
Practical Work + Mentorship
The program includes supervised teaching practice, personalized mentorship, and a final evaluation. Students receive real-time feedback to refine their skills and integrate their learning.
Graduates receive the Verbasana 200-hour certification, registered with Yoga Alliance, qualifying them to teach yoga internationally.
Upon completion, participants emerge with:

A non-refundable deposit of $220 USD (approximately €200) is required to reserve a place in the program

4-month option: 4 payments of $660 USD (approximately €600 each)
6-month option: 6 payments of $440 USD (approximately €400 each)
