SteelWorx
Japon 20
The Japon steel frame is an exercise in structural purity and geometric restraint, executed in 20x20mm square steel tubing with razor-sharp, right-angle edges.
Geometric Precision: The design uses clean, continuous lines to create an open architectural silhouette, balancing a rigid outer rectangular box with a precisely angled inner support frame.
Structural Pitch: The rear uprights sweep upward at a continuous incline, establishing an ergonomic recline that transitions seamlessly into the lower seat rail.
Suspension Ready: Front and rear crossbars are positioned specifically to anchor a floating, suspended seat-and-backrest sling, keeping the profile visually light while maintaining immense structural rigidity.
Raw Finish: Finished with crisp, hand-welded joints and sharp profile corners, giving the bare metal a raw, brutalist edge that highlights its hand-crafted craftsmanship.
