meaning "the square" is simple, chic and directly references the square shapes in this design.

Inspiration from the town Paarl, where elegance, style and deep history is founded in a Fabric store called Demtex. 

With its rich history and heritage in the Cape, taking me towards my first Hertex fabric. Quality, elegance and luxury is what this brand represents. 

For this design something unique with its trendy angled backrest, positioned on only one side to provide an asymmetrical shape. 

Finding the perfect combination of steel thickness to not overshadow the fabric, but provide a sturdy foundation for its frame. 

Traditional upright frame design for the backrest with a slightly angled upholster, elevates the “square”  theme of this design. 

Taking on a two tone design is a concept I have been drawn towards for some time and found this piece to be the ideal opportunity to display this change in not just fabric colours but also textures. 

A combination of light browns to elevate your living space into a natural flair of style, luxury and comfort.

key design elements to date includes

- a sqaure design slightly elongated to provide a wide seating

- low armrests with a new wood design in iron bark (dark redish)

- introducing a 3D modelling to help finalize design look and feel

- a two tone fabric design in sqaures to complement the design

- shades of dark and grey

- steel colour to be determined, current thoughts around a golden / bronze
