Until September 2010 I lived in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, and was a full time member of Big Band Zmaji (recorded a double CD), full time member of Big Band Grosuplje, and had a jazz quartet Jazzilanti. With those ensembles I visited festivals at home and abroad. I was also involved in music theatre, a rock band and did some session work.
During my studies in the Netherlands I participated in the academy’s Big Band, various jazz, pop, latin and world music ensembles within and outside of the academy, and while majoring in jazz performance, I minored in music theatre and music education. I was teaching the instrument and did band coaching. As a perspective artist I received the full scholarship of the Slovenian Ministry of Culture for the whole duration of my studies abroad.
I joined my wife in Luxembourg in September 2014. Being introduced within the Luxembourgish scene soon resulted with many musical projects and collaborations (Corbi, Kadrasonic, Selma Schauls, Edith van den Heuvel, Benoit Martiny, Boris Dinev, Jeff Herr, Niels Engel, Michel Meis, Paul Gehl, Paulo Simoes, Pierre Kramer, Roby Glod, Maxime Bender, David Ascani, George Letelier, Julia Belova etc. …). Outside of Luxembourg I have a continuous collaboration with Belgian composer Christian Klinkenberg (opera “Das Kreuz der Verlobten” and story-telling project “The seven leaves”), German painter Marc Kirschvink (project “Partitur” where a series of paintings - intentionally made for music intepretation - are musically interpreted) and Belgian composer Paul Pankert ("Remote" where a dancer with her moves controls the effects of the performed music for her choreography).
My main performing instruments are double bass and electric bass; I’ve been playing piano since age 8, it was my second instrument at the conservatory and the academy; the guitar was the first instrument available to me at home.
