Seasons on Eden allow players to experience fresh resets, but with meaningful progression that carries over. Every new season offers a chance for everyone to start on even footing while still holding on to key elements from past seasons. This unique system is community-driven, ensuring that the game's health and excitement remain constant. As a returning player, you’ll notice that every season presents new challenges, goals, and rewards—allowing you to re-engage with the game while still progressing.
The length of each season is largely determined by the community. As long as players are engaged and the population doesn’t dwindle drastically, the season will continue as normal. It’s a system designed to let players shape their experience.
As a returning player, you’ll be happy to know that several key elements of your character’s progression carry over between seasons. This ensures you can pick up where you left off while allowing new players to progress alongside you. The following aspects will transfer between seasons:
Character Name: Your chosen name will remain the same across seasons.
Crafting Skills: Your crafting progress is account-bound, meaning your crafting knowledge will carry over.
Player Stats and Achievements: Solo kills, mob kills, relic takes, and other key stats will persist.
Titles: Any titles you’ve earned will be preserved.
Additionally, Realm Points (RPs) will carry over once you reach level 50. This ensures your character feels a sense of progression, even if you're starting a new season. However, in order to keep the playing field fair and fun, Eden introduces a Realm Skill Point Cap system.
While you’ll still earn Realm Points, the maximum number of Realm Skill Points you can spend will be limited based on the timed release schedule of the RA Point Cap. This means that, while you continue to accumulate RPs, the spendable Realm Skill Points and +skills will be capped until the system allows for more points to be used. The goal of this cap is to temporarily level the playing field, particularly for casual players who might not be able to commit as much time to the game as hardcore gamers.
The initial caps give casual players more time to progress and enjoy the game without falling too far behind. Keep in mind that the RP rate on Eden is not increased, and the first month will primarily focus on leveling, crafting, templating, and preparing for Realm vs. Realm (RvR) content. This timeline will also give you the opportunity to try out alts, switch realms, or explore new options without worrying about falling behind in the Realm Rank (RR) category.
To maintain a fair progression for all players, the Realm Rank Cap will be gradually increased over time. Here’s how it will work:
Day 1: The cap will be 50k RPs (2L8).
Your level is your cap until level 28. For example, at level 14, your cap will be 1L4.
After the initial period, the cap will increase steadily:
Month 1: The cap will increase by 100k RPs per week, up to 4L5.
Month 2: The cap will increase by 200k RPs per week, up to 6L5.
Month 3: The cap will increase by 300k RPs per week, up to 7L7.
With this system, you’ll always earn your Realm Points through RvR activities, but the maximum amount of spendable Realm Skill Points will gradually increase according to the schedule. This ensures that everyone, whether you're a casual player or a hardcore gamer, has a fair and balanced experience as the season progresses.
In order to keep the game feeling fresh, several things reset at the start of every season, including:
Realm Skill Point Cap: This resets to allow players to experience a balanced progression, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to earn Realm Points from the start of the season.
Character Levels: All characters will be reset to level 1, giving you a chance to experience the leveling grind again and relive the journey to 50.
Items and Gold: All your items and in-game currency will reset, meaning you’ll need to rebuild your wealth and gear.
Housing: Housing properties will reset, but you’ll retain any long-term progression that doesn’t affect the economy, like crafting and titles.
Losing progress can be frustrating, which is why Eden ensures that your non-economic progress carries over from season to season:
Character Name (if your character has hit 50 or 2L4) and Crafting Skills will always remain intact.
PvE-related stats, such as solo kills, mob kills, and other achievements, will carry over to give your character a sense of long-term progression.
This means that even when a new season begins and your character is reset to level 1, and your long-term achievements stay with you. By using the Realm Skill Point cap system, ensures that your Realm Points (RPs) also persist—helping your character retain meaningful progression even as the season resets. This way, you get the excitement of a fresh start while still feeling like your efforts matter.
