There are various graphic organizers educators may use in assisting with the process of deconstructing standards. Below is a thorough graphic organizer the authors use when deconstructing standards. Other graphic organizers are available in the resource tab.
Using a graphic organizer will assist teachers in working through unwrapping standards by:
Deconstructing the wording of the standard.
Figuring out the meaning inside and out.
Underlinining teachable concepts.
Determining skills level of Blooms Taxonomy and Webb's depth of knowledge.
Identifying cognitive levels which will be handy in writing assessment questions.
