This module is self-paced and does not have to be completed in one session. This time includes estimated times for all sections of the PLM, the assessment, and feedback form.
This self-paced module will give classroom teachers the freedom to work through the process of standard deconstruction. Teacher assistants, Response to Invervention (RTI) and special education teachers can work through this module to gain a better understanding of how their efforts can support learning in the classroom.
Once teachers have become more familiar with the process of deconstructing standards, the information in this module can be used during PLC meetings to assist with the planning process and creation of common formative assessments.
Building-level leaders can use this module to gain more knowledge in standard deconstruction. We believe that learning about the process will give administrators and facilitators more insight, which will allow them to provide more relevant feedback to teachers about standard alignment and appropriateness.
