Module 2 (Code EB2): sample storage, collection, preservation and analysis(pysico-chemical parameters)

  • Physico-chemical analysis (pH, dissolved oxygen, hardness, turbidity, nitrogen (Ammonia, nitrate, nitrite), BOD, total solids, turbidity, phosphate, chromium)
  • Environmental impact and risk assessment (Brief)

Module 3 (Code EB3): sample storage, collection, preservation and analysis (pysico-chemical and biological parameters)

Duration: 30 Days; Fee- Rs. 6000/-

  • Glass wares washing and sterilization techniques
  • Laboratory and ergonomics safety
  • Environmental standards and guidelines (Drinking/irrigation/surface water, air quality, noise pollution (BIS, CPCB, ISO standards))
  • Sample collection and preservation (random, grab and composite sampling)
  • Sample storage and presentation
  • Water & wastewater analysis (routine & special parameters)
  • Physico-chemical analysis (pH, dissolved oxygen, hardness, turbidity, nitrogen (Ammonia, nitrate, nitrite), BOD, total solids, turbidity, phosphate, chromium)
  • Microbial analysis (MPN test for coliform bacteria, membrane filtration method for total coliform and thermotolerant bacteria, EC-MUG Test for confirmation of E. coli)
  • Air pollution monitoring (ambient & point source)
  • Analysis of soil (physical & chemical parameters)
    • Effect of fertilizer amendments on selected soil parameters (Physico-chemical and microbiological)
  • Environmental impact and risk assessment (Case study)

Note: Out of water, wastewater and soil analysis, students have to opt only one section. Rest of the section are same for all the students.
