Meet the Staff

I chose "Daisy" as my camp name because Gerber Daisy's are my favorite flower.

I have been working this camp since 2012.  (minus COVID, 2020-2022).  Both of my children have grown up here surrounded by a great group of volunteers!

I started Girls Scouts when I was in Kindergarten (Longggggg before there was a "Daisy" level). I stayed in until 8th grade.  Later I became my daughters troop leader in 2012-2022.

Favorite thing about camp?

My favorite thing about camp is seeing campers  return every year and grow into young adults💞 and volunteers!

Favorite Camp Song?

That's tough...I find myself singing them for weeks after camp! If I have to choose I would say..."The Marshmallow song" or "The Penguin song" and of course "Daisy on my toe!"

 I chose my camp name because "Winnie the Pooh" is a comfort character for me. Also some of my favorite camp leaders had names of "Winnie the Pooh's" friends like "Tigger" and "Piglet".  

 I have been a Girl Scout since elementary school! I’ve been in two troops.  

 I’ve been at Dash Point since I was in 2nd grade. 

Favorite thing about camp?

 I love the beach! I am so happy we get to search tidepools and view marine life here at camp.

 Samoa's! Or toffee-tastic if that still exists!

 "MILK!"

I chose my camp name because I love to dance and I love the song "Dancing Queen"

I started Girl Scouts in 3rd grade and stayed with my troop until I graduated from High School.  I have been at Dash Point Day camp for 14 years.  I was a camper, a PAT, a PA, a PAL, an assistant to the director, and finally the PA advisor. I'm excited to welcome Tigger as my Co-Advisor this year!

Favorite thing about camp?

My favorite part of camp is the community!  I love seeing old friends and making new friends along the way.

I really enjoy the songs that engage the campers.  The ones where they get really excited and very dramatic acting them out!

Like "Tiny Mouse" and "The Cotton Candy song"

I chose my camp name  when I was younger and had a LOT more energy!
I've been a Girl Scout for as long as I can remember and attended Dash Point Day Camp since the 2nd grade. I was always the loud and distractible kid who marched to my own drummer. I made my way from camper to PA/PAL to unit adult before taking a seven-year hiatus. I am SO excited to be back as one of your PA advisors!

Favorite thing about camp?

I love seeing the same campers come back year after year and grow into strong, confident leaders. And of course, the songs!

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE?! I love songs that are silly and LOUD! Some of my favorites include the Aardvark Song, the Bedbug Song, Daisy On My Toe, and the Watermelon Song... as well as all the rest :)

Camp Nurse

I chose my camp name because I LOVE flowers...everywhere!

This is my third year with Dash Point, however I volunteered for my daughters Kindergarten year with her troop.  The next year I became the leader of her troop , and continued for 10 years.  

I also worked, for 10 years, with the Erie Shores council in Ohio as their volunteer trouble shooter, trainer, and recruiter (for staff and kids).

Watching the campers have fun!

My whole life I have loved cats.  When I was thinking of a camp name, my daughter reminded me of that and so the name stuck. -Kitty

I have been a Girl Scout since my daughter joined in 2022.  The Summer of 2023 was my first year at Dash Point Day camp and what a great experience it was!

Favorite thing about camp?

Watching the girls gain independence, confidence and have a great time.

I have to say that my favorite camp song in Boom Chicka Boom. Definitely the one that will get stuck in my head often.
