O1 Methodological guidelines and new theoretical and practical methods of interdisciplinary teaching for assessing small and medium sized cities (SMCs) on Danube

The output answers the need for a practical educational methodology in the field of built environment focusing on the interdisciplinary teaching for assessing small and medium sized cities on the Danube. It also highlights the possibilities of further cooperation and better understanding between various related disciplines - e.g. architecture, urbanism, landscape planning, design. This guideline provides synthetic information about how the interdisciplinary approach can be gained not only at the theoretical/ conceptual level, but at the practical/ applicable level, in a more creative and intuitive way, related to the issues of territorial inclusiveness and sustainable development of Danubian small and medium size cities.

O1 Story map as interactive use of the interdisciplinary teaching for assessing small and medium sized cities on Danube

This story map is the interactive transcription of the „Storytelling (web) maps/narrative mapping” teaching methods

The narrative was developed using the methodological guidelines developed within the project and explores qualitative and quantitative data from the main document, making visible in an interactive way certain aspects, space-people relations, the physical perception of spaces of the Danubian small and medium sized cities. This result treats an important and very specific question of the possible use of the open-source platforms by collecting specific information and developing it with innovative tools with easy access by the general public, as an important support for the future academic and regional collaborations.
