The IPO3 was organized by the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urban Planning – Faculty of Urban Planning (Urban Design and Landscape Department) with participation of 8 university partners:
- „Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning of Bucharest (UAUIM);
- Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) – Faculty of Architecture
- Technical University of Slovakia, Bratislava (STU) – Faculty of Architecture
- University of Belgrade (UBGD) – Faculty of Architecture
- University for Continuing Education Krems (new name: UWK; old name: Danube University Krems) – Faculty of Architecture
- Vienna University of Technology (TUW)
- University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Technical Science (Architecture department) (UNS)
- Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara (UPT) - lectures
In the first 2 days, theoretical and practical instructions were given, and students visited to local sites to get necessary data and to be guided by local people in Călărași. By the end of the second day, the students had an overview of the city, of their local site, and the specific situation of the areas they assessed. They also visit local stakholders around Calarasi and along Danube.
During the next 2 days, students were focus on their own group project, developing it and discussing it with professors.
