Kick off Meeting of DANUBIAN_SMCs Erasmus+ K203 Strategic Partnership Project was the 1stTransnational Partner Meeting hosted and conducted by BME, the lead partner of the previous parnership project DANURB and the coordinator of the Report of data collection of good practices and teaching/ learning cross- border cooperation on Danube SMCs for transferring research and innovation in continuing education” output.
1st TPM included 16 participants: 2 representatives of the partnership universities: UAIM, STU, DUK, TU Wien, UNS, UNB and 4 representatives form the host university and learner representative and local university leadership, members of the Project Team.
The scope was followed as designed in application project and then in the WP by:
Making a good synergy with previous partners collaboration in DANUrB Interreg project and new new future activities. In a critical view on the previous project, we can say that although it also included universities in its consortium, DANUrB did not specifically pursued the creation of an educational framework dedicated to the inclusive development of Danube cities, and did not focus on the students to be the main beneficiary of the trans-disciplinary formative process that regards the development potential of the Danube spaces and landscapes. In the desire for a coherent and more balanced development of the Danube region is essential to consider the differences in the existing levels of development between the various Danube countries and cities and, at the same time, the differences in the problems faced by the big cities/capitals and the small and medium-sized cities (SMCs) along the river.
Connecting the whole DANUBIAN_SMCs Project Management Team to follow the points included in the objectives of the project, setting the calendar of DANUBIAN_SMCs activities and tasks for the next three years.
