Nevada National Security Sites is an organization that wants to ensure the security of nuclear materials along with defense and civil technologies. Nevada National Security Sites is responsible for sponsoring several of the teams at the Las Vegas Regional throughout the years to be capable of going to the World Championship in Houston, Texas.
The College of Engineering at UNLV supports STEM teams throughout the state of Nevada with funding under a program called the ITEST Project.
