We began our Rookie Season in 2021 with 14 members with little to no knowledge about robotics. We worked to show the impact of STEAM within both our team and our community. With our hard work, we won the Rookie Highest Seed, Rookie All-Star, and Regional Winners at the FRC Las Vegas Regional while also earning an invitation to the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas -- where we would also earn the Rookie Inspiration award.
During our second year, we began expanding our reach as we helped volunteer and advocate for STEAM. Our team grew twice its size, yet our expertise and knowledge grew larger. Through dedication to teaching others about STEAM in Nevada, we won the Engineering Inspiration award at our local regional, earning us passage to the FIRST Championship for a second year.
In our third year, we gained mentors from UNLV's Robotics Mentoring Training Course, which evolved our understanding of engineering. We also deepened our understanding and what it meant to be part of FIRST as a team and as individuals. We won our second Engineering Inspiration award for our third year, which showed how much progress we made.
Out was our first robot created in 2021 when we were just a rookie team! Out was created for the 2022 game, RAPID REACT, with our goal of being a strong and well-rounded robot for our first year.
Out competed at:
Las Vegas Regional - Rank 29 out of 44, Alliance 1 Second Pick, Won Regional
FIRST Championship (Roebling Division) - Rank 73 out of 76
Peter would be our second robot where we would use the skills we learned through building Out. The 2023 Game, CHARGED UP, was a completely different challenge compared to last year's, but we traveled great strides with Peter and reached new heights!
Peter competed at:
Las Vegas Regional - Rank 21 out of 44
FIRST Championship (Newton Division) - Rank 75 out of 77
Byte is our third robot as part of the 2024 season! The challenge for CRESCENDO holds many similarities to the challenge presented in the 2022 Season, RAPID REACT, so we have used similar design principles and concepts here. Byte is our first swerve drive robot!
Byte competed at:
Las Vegas Regional - Rank 26 out of 45, Alliance 2 Second Pick, Placed 4th
FIRST Championship (Daly Division) - Rank 67 out of 75
Manta is our fifth robot to be part of the 2025 season! Being our second swerve robot, we've taken our experiences from the past four years and molded them into Manta! REEFSCAPE presented challenges, new and old, in the field and in the lab, but we persevered through!
Manta Competed at
Arizona North Regional- Rank 39 out of 40
Las Vegas Regional- Rank 22 out of 45, Alliance 5 second pick
