The pre-show takes place in the Horned King's chambers where the Witches of Morah, Orddu, Orwen, and Orgoch appear in front of the guests via projections on the wall. It appears we have interrupted something as the witches are in the process of arguing.
Orddu: *Shouting* What do you mean you lost the cauldron?!
Orwen: Well, he was very persuasive!
Orgoch: Who was?
Orwen: The thing who came to bargain. And we never turn away a bargain!
Orddu: And what bargain could be worth The Black Cauldron?! We already have the sword.
Orwen: But I got something better than some silly old cauldron!
Orddu: And what could that possibly be!?
Orwen: This [Pulls out an apple core] (Shocked) Huh! This was a golden apple just a few moments ago.
Orddu: Don’t you understand what you’ve done? We must get that Cauldron back immediately or else! Any man who bargains for it isn’t looking to collect, no, he is looking to awaken something sinister.
Orgoch: Since when is it our job to save the world? We guard the Cauldron, now it’s gone, can’t guard something we don’t have.
Orddu: Precisely. We must get it back, and there’s only one person we can get to help us do that.
Orwen: Ffleuder Fflam!?
Orddu: Close dear sister, his friend Taran. Taran stopped the Horned King once, now he must help us retrieve our cauldron once and for all.
Orwen: Well what about them? [Gestures to the audience]
Orddu: Well, there’s only one thing we can do with eavesdroppers, we must send them alongside our heroes. He will need all the help he can get.
With that, guests are beckoned through the doors to the left of the throne room which leads us out of the castle and into the forest where our cauldron awaits to take us on the journey of a lifetime.
