Research Area Evaluation Report (RA-Report)

The basic organisational and content elements of the evaluation are not only units but also fields and research areas as defined by the internal classification of the University. Assessment of fields and research areas is conducted by Expert Panels for Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences, and Natural Sciences.

Research Area Evaluation Reports, which are prepared for each area within which at least one field was assessed based on a bibliometric report or peer review, constitute the interim outcome of the evaluation and are an integral part of the Final Report.

The quality of a research area is assessed based on the quality of the relevant fields and aggregate data on the given area obtained using individual evaluation tools. It depends primarily on the quality of its outputs, contribution to outputs produced by other fields through interdisciplinary cooperation and national and international standing. If a field was explored over the course of the evaluation period in more than one unit of the University, its quality is assessed also individually for all relevant units.
