Final Report

What is the Final Report?

The Final Report, describing and evaluating the quality of individual fields, research areas, and units which contains the recommendations for further development of the research activities at the University, is the main written outcome of the evaluation. Its appendices consist of:

  • Academic parameters;

  • Information on the course of evaluation;

  • Summary of research activities indicators;

  • Outcomes of individual evaluation tools;

  • Opinion of the units on the research area evaluation reports;

  • Opinion of the units on the draft Final Report.

Who is responsible for the Final Report?

Research Evaluation Board is the body responsible for composing the Report after considering the feedback from the evaluated units.

How does the University intend to work with the Report?

The Final Report is to be discussed by relevant University bodies, i.e. the International Advisory Board, Research Board, Internal Evaluation Board, and the Academic Senate. After the discussion the Final Report is made available to all the bodies of the University and the members of the academic community and its principal findings are published on the Charles University website.

Outcomes of the evaluation are used in particular as a basis for the following:

  • Preparation of university research strategy;

  • Development of fields and research areas;

  • Organization changes of the University and its units;

  • Preparation of programmes for the support of research;

  • Decision-making on the funding of research;

  • Support of excellence;

  • Institutional accreditation;

  • Development of educational activities of the University.
