There are four panels* established as follows:
Arts and humanities
Social sciences
Medical and health sciences
Natural sciences
The chairs**, deputy chairs, and other members of the Expert Panels are
outstanding scientists outside Czech Republic or scientists having significant international experience,
appointed by the Rector on the advice of the Research Evaluation Board based on the nominations submitted by the units, members of the Rector’s Board, the Research Board and the International Board (see also University Bodies and Regulations).
An executive deputy chair (without the right to vote) who is a renowned scientist knowledgeable of Czech higher education is always a member of the Panel.
* The distribution of fields and research areas among the Expert Panels reflects the internal classification.** The chair is also a member of the Creative Activities Evaluation Board.
What is their mission?
To oversee the peer review of selected research panels.
To carry out the assessment of quality of fields and research areas.
To critically analyze the scientometric data on the research fields and areas.
To perform the on site visit of individual units if needed.
To compile and sumbit Research area evaluation reports.
