Houston Zoo Camp-in! (March 25-26th)
What?
A Pack over-night-er at the HOUSTON ZOO! It will include animal presentations, hosted activities a$75 per participant.
We will be camping Outside! So bring a tent, sleeping pad and sleeping bag. You can use this Camping Basics document for help knowing what to bring.
When?
March 25th: Arrive at the Houston Zoo by 5:30pm. Admission closes at 6:00pm!
March 26th: The event formally ends at 9am on Sunday, however the event includes next-day admission for all day Sunday, so families can leave or stay at thier discresion on Sunday after 9am.

What will we be doing?
Here is a sample agenda:
5:30 p.m.: Arrival and campsite setup*
6:30 p.m.: Welcome and introductions
6:45 p.m.: Animal presentation, activities, and night tour
10:00 p.m. Evening wrap up and prepare for bed
11:00 p.m. Lights out (quiet hours start)
6:00 a.m. Wake up, pack up, and load vehicles
7:30 a.m. Breakfast
8:00 a.m. Morning tour before Zoo opens
9:00 a.m. Program ends
Where will we be sleeping?
We will be sleeping Outdoors! So each family will need to bring a Tent, Sleeping Pad and Sleeping Bag! You can see our Camping Basics document for helpful information on specifics of what to bring.
What meals are provided?
Each family will need to either eat dinner before arriving at 5:30pm, or bring a picnic lunch they can eat during the setup time between 5:30 - 6:30pm. We are NOT permitted to have an open flame, so no fires and Stoves to make dinner.
The zoo will provide breakfast in the morning.
Will we have access to power outlets?
We will have access to Power Outlets to inflate air matresses and charge phones, etc,
But will NOT have consistent access to outlets for all families throughout the night to power things like fans or CPAP machines.

What should we bring?
A tent, Sleeping bag and sleeping pad or air-mattress
Weather appropriate clothing (a Pack T shirt, Class B, if you have one)
Toiletries, pajamas for the evening & clothes for the morning
Refillable water bottle and optional snacks
Any personal medication or supplements
Other Optional things: Power Bank for charging phones
How will payment be managed?
