More information about the Campout

About Camp Mauritz:  Camp Mauritz is owned by Jackson County and managed by LNRA. This camp is primarily used by scout groups. Located on the banks of Sandy Creek, with its primitive facilities, Camp Mauritz is a great place to spend a weekend learning and practicing scout survival techniques. No air conditioning, or RV's here. Just a great place to pitch a tent and join together as a group.

What will we eat?  The pack is responsible for all meal planning and preparation, with each Den being responsible for a specific meal.  All meals will have a vegetarian option.

What will we do all day?  The pack gets to structure our days.  We will arrange activities around having fun and working on scout requirements.  We will go on nature hikes, go fishing, playing sports and have some free time.

Will we have power Outlets?  We are working on figuring this out.

What should I bring?    Reference our Camping guide here.

Can I join for only one night, or one day?   Absolutely!  Just let us know your plan so we can best accommodate your schedule.
