Quarter 3 awards

What is your class working on in Quarter 4?

Geometry- Students will continue to have short daily assignments for most class days. We will be continuing our work with standards in circles and probability. We will also have daily practice work with equations of circles, Venn diagrams and counting principles.

Algebra- Students will continue to have short (3-4 question) daily assignments Monday-Wednesday and Friday will be an opportunity for check-ins and making up missing work. We will cover 3 more topics as standards and then do an introduction to solving with square roots as Daily Practice.

POM- Two standards remain. Daily practice on a personal finance lesson. Assignments will be given but short in length.

Physical Science- We will assess two standards this quarter. The first will be finishing out the unit of constant acceleration then we will switch gears and review previous content (mass volume density, properties of matter, atomic structure) and practice describing different scientific processes through the literary standpoint which will be assessing literacy standards up to the rest of the school year.

Advanced Physical Science- Students will engage with online lab simulations to complete our study of Newton's Laws of Motion. Assignments will build from discussion posts on google classroom to online lab report write ups and culminate in open-note online tests.

English- Students will use multiple genres to create written and visual pieces to represent a topic of their choice.

Social Action Through Art- Students will create a portfolio of written and visual pieces to reflect on the impact of a social justice issue in our world.

Religion- The final unit is on Jesus and Catholic creeds with a focus on how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament.

PE- Students are encouraged to engage in physical activity 2-3/week in an effort to improve overall physical, mental and emotional health.

Health- Students will study and complete assessments on Sleep, Nutrition, and Healthy Relationships/Sexual Education.
