Introduction to Disability

This section covers general information about disability, specifically relevant to students with disabilities in a post secondary setting. You will learn the general definition of disability as defined under the American's with Disabilities Act, an understanding of visual vs. invisible disabilities, appropriate use of language, an understanding of the social model of disability vs. the medical model, and about the Universal Design Concept.
