Maxell Gold & Platinum 4* series

This is the last series Gold & Platinum produced with very small changes compared to the previous one.

It was produced in medium quantities.

Sony Color Collection 5° series

With this series, the fifth, the Sony abandons the color orange to replace it with the color purple.

In my opinion, even if the blank Purple is very nice, chromatically the series lose visual impact.

The shutter is completely black, making it difficult to differentiate the 74/80 minutes.

This problem was partially solved by placing the recording time in 74 minutes at the top of the shutter, while in 80 minutes, at the bottom of the shutter.

The case is soft plastic.

It was produced in large quantities.

Axia Slimcase 1° series

Axia enters the market of blank of large retailers with this successful series.

Slimcase takes its name from a soft transparent plastic pouch containing the series with five different colors.

Inside the case are also contained the label.

In this way, Axia save on weight and on the cost of individual cases.

Inside the housing there are no slides to restrict the movement of the blanks.

The look like the packaging is very juvenile, is resumed on shell the movement to "Vortex" already presented with the series "For Mayor Hits". The colors are turned on.

It was produced in large quantities.

TDK Fine 2° series

TDK also comes up with a model with six colors, available in 60, 74, 80 min.

Blank is very simple, "fine", very nice chocolate color product for the first time since TDK.

It is likely that the color chocolate has been "borrowed" after having seen the blank Axia MD CS.

I am not aware of which has been produced after this TDK, another blank chocolate color.

Maxell Music Gear

Produced in two colors, silver and gold (always these two colors for Maxell) format 74 & 80 min.

Simple line with metallic shutter.

The case is scrolled.

It was produced in medium quantities.

Axia PSc Natural Sound

New colors for this model produced only in duration of 80 minutes but primarily a very nice shutter which gives its name to this series of "dolphins"

The shell surface is opaque.

The label recall the color of the blank, but while the cases are identical to each other, the internal sheets on which score track titles have nine different photographs with images related to the sea.

TDK musicjack 5° series

A new revolutionary-looking model, six colors, available in 74 and 80 min.

A front colored shell on which it is applied a layer of paint that reveals the underlying color.

The back shell is semi-opaque and reveals also the underlying color.

Black shutter, all from a very pleasant look.

In my experience, the rear shell is brittle.

The cases is standar TDK open book.

It was produced in medium large quantities.

Axia J'z b animals

Produced only in the length of 74min, resumes the engraved pattern on the shell on previous series j'z.

Available in five different colours, the shutter is what makes the difference with silhouette of small pets.

Classic cases Axia, abandoned diversification for color.

It was produced in medium quantities.

Sony NetMd

It is simply a Color Collection series 5, lenght 74 min, used as a gadget for the presentation of the first machine NetMd.

Likely to be produced in classic 5 colors. Not easy to find.

TDK Lucir 2° series

Available in two colours and in 74 and 80 min, Lucir 2 looks like a blank very simple, with very large production.

Axia Slimcase 2° series

Second series, more vibrant colors, shutter more aesthetically beautiful, always Pack slimcase with five blank.

Available in 74 or 80 minutes, this version differs from series 3 only from the small Axia logo in white to the upper-left corner placed in a different location.
