Talk of blank minidiscs is not easy; were produced hundreds of different models from around 100 different brand.

When the market grew were blanks products with the brand of supermarkets, clothing stores, shops of electornics etc. The largest manufacturer of blanks were: Axia /Fuji, Maxell, Sony, TDK. These brands will list all blank in my possession.

It is also very difficult to be able to tell who copied who; I believe you are create currents whereby the laundry brands are in turn copied. Each brand has always had in the catalogue a blank of large spread, a blank series so to speak of "elite" or "artistic" and a series of discrete diffusion.

In my opinion, any brand, has created its market share;

Sony has expressed it with consumer products but with a certain style "classic".

Maxell has produced mainly for a young clientele with "casual" style and, in my opinion, almost all blanks Maxell have too much of everything; many written, many rows etc; reflects to me a certain aspect of "heaviness".

TDK has produced artistic objects, following the road of innovation.

Axia for me was the Rolls Royce, with a search of style and distinction without equal; some examples, label almost always differentiated to fit the blank color, often this was also for the cases; the plastic used for the shell is, in my opinion, more scratch resistant than other brands.

A finding, the European market came in only three brands from Japan: Maxell, Sony, TDK.
