3rd anniversary exhibition 15 October 2005

The Cradley, Mathon and Storridge Art Group (CMSAG) held its 3rd Anniversary Exhibition at Storridge Village Hall on Saturday 15th October 2005. It’s hard to believe that we have going for 3 years. But it’s true: time flies when you’re enjoying yourself. And that’s just what our Group has been doing! It has been a busy year too. We exhibited at the invitation of Mr. Peter Wynn-James at his splendid gallery at Lower Nupend for Cradley Open Gardens Day in June and we also had pictures at the Mathon Parish Hall Open Day in August.

In the little time left, we managed to get a number of new paintings finished for the Anniversary Exhibition and some 68 pictures were hung in the very nice main hall. The new picture rail was just the job and the room looked very attractive when we had finished.

We held a Preview Party on the Friday and a good number of guests from the three parishes and members had an enjoyable evening. The next day the ladies from the Village Hall laid on coffee and biscuits in the morning, a 3 course meal for lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. There were also craft and Christmas stalls as well as a wood carving demonstration. There was a steady stream of visitors throughout the day and a happy buzz till closing time. Next year we will be at Cradley.
