For my viewer choice I will do on an the VR application Virtual Speech, This is an application allows user to practice speeches in front a of virtual audience. This will help users with essential public speaking, sales pitch and closing, train the trainer, workplace mindfulness, business networking, learn english for business , leadership communication, business storytelling and many more courses covering a range of soft skills.
VirualSpeech is a Virtual reality application that users can use to help with their speaking skills whether it is for public or private events. This is mostly done with learning courses that are offered through the app itself. Some of these courses include public speeches, job interviews, boardroom presentations, business networking, press conference speeches, and classroom presentation. After you give a speech in the application, you can have it analyzed to see how well you did on that speech. From there you will be able to see what you need improvement on to give the best speech possible.

In order to use this app, you need either
For the best result, using a VR headset is the best because you are able to change slides with the controller and be able to move in and out the menu easier.
The thing that makes this app really cool are the VR tests that students get after they have done a lesson. After you have finished a lesson, you are then put into a realistic simulation to that the user can practice what they have learned for the lesson. For example, if the user took a lesson about eye contact during an interview, the user is then put into a simulation for that skill. You are in an interview and you have to give your pitch about why you should be hired for that company after you do that 3 min speech, it will tell you a score that is out of 10 points. If you get a high score, it means that your eye contact was good. If it was low, that means your eye contract was bad and it will tell you why it was bad and how to improve it.
There are a lot of other features that come with this app for free. With the “Start Analyse” button when you start a speech and will give you “live” feedback. If a room is split and you have a left side and a right side, it tracks to make sure that you are giving each side the same about of attention.
Another really handy feature is that it will also keep track of how many words you have spoken in a minute. If you are speaking too slow, it will tell you to speed up and talk a little faster. This goes the same when talking too fast. It also tracks how loud you were during the speech and tell you if you need to speak louder or softer.
Some of the situation simulation has little distractions when you are trying to do your speech. This would include things like other people talking during your speech, coughing, microphone feedback noises, and phones going off. Some advanced reaction would be having people react to how your speech is going. If you are doing poorly on a speech, the room audience members will start to look around and talk to each other. This is all that the person experiences things that they would experience in real life.
Some of the useful things you can do with this app are being able to record your speech so you can hear how well or bad you did with your speech. You can then upload it to your account so that you can play it back anytime on any computer.
You can also go on the VirualSpeech website to upload the slides that you will use for your presentation. When you log in to your account on the app, you will have your slides there ready to be used in one of the simulations.
The user also can get a thing called a “listenability score” which tells the user how well they wrote their speech and how easy it is to understand using a Flesch-Kincaid readability test. If you score 90 or above, an 11-year-old can understand. 70-60 a 15-year-old can understand and 0-30, a college graduate can understand.
How the VR audience looks like as well as how big of a range of audience you want to have.
You can find a lot of feedback and reviews with this app. For the most part, a lot of people love this app. With its many features and their VR rooms, people who use it get the most out of it. So people who want to practice giving a speech in front of a class and select that situation and do their speech in front of a class and get feedback from it. When people have a complaint about the app, the company actually will look into it. For example, if there are errors or a feature isn't working correctly, the company will then look into it and fix it so that it can provide the user with the best experience possible.
Something that people don't like is that for one, it can be difficult to set up since you need an account with VirualSpeech to have a lot of the features. Another thing is that it can be very expensive to have all the features. Most courses on this app are over 100 dollars which for a poor college or high school student this isn't the best option. They have also complained about how dead the viral audience can be or how they don't react to anything to say. For maybe better AI would be good for this app.
Here is an example of a person online talking about a feature that they would like to have and the developer actually telling them that they are working on it and will have it with a few weeks.
One of the things that doesn’t work for this kind of app is that eye contact feature assumes that you are always looking straight. When it does eye tracking, it doesn't track what direction your eyes are looking at. This means that you don’t have to be making good eye contact with someone, instead just face the person in the simulation and close your eyes. This will still result in the same score when the user's eyes are open.
Another bad thing is that there are a lot of purchases you need to make to have access to everything. For example, every single course requires you to buy it to have access to those viral reality situations. Certain VR rooms also have features that aren't included like with the TEDx style room, it has speech insight which looks at your tone, choice of words and openness and agreeableness. Other rooms do not have this feature.
One minor thing about this app that I don't like is the way they use people in their situation. The people in the room are video recordings of someone in front of a green screen. There they just pasted them into the scene to it looks like a real person. My issue with this is that when you do it this way, the people look flat when doing the VR stuff which can be a huge distraction with will result in users losing focus and lose the feeling of being in a real office. They also loop their animation sometimes, this can also be distracting.
This is a screen shot from the Virtual speech website, you can see the price of being well over 100 dollar. This is common throughout all the course
This is the phone version of the app.

I feel that the best thing about this app is the VR features and how it tracks and grades you. For many people, giving a speech is hard and it is also hard to find people that are willing to listen to you and give good feedback. Users can also have a fear of being embarrassed when giving a speech to anyone but since it's a virtual audience, it doesn't matter, they can start over. The feedback that you get after you do your speech is incredible. Things such as eye contact and the clearness and speed are things you need to deliver a great speech and the app looks over all that. It's one of the things that people like the most about this app. Its also good that you don't need a 1000 dollar machine to run this app, just a smart phone will get you all the basic needs.

This application is for people who need help with general speaking skills. This can help people who are having trouble with their speeches in different ways. Things that people do like eye contact, pauses, saying the word “um” and hesitating can make a speech unpleasant. This app can help with that with lessons and practice. It might also help people who are not comfortable with giving speeches in front of a large audience by putting them in front of a large virtual audience.
This is also directed to businesses. This app is set up to train new employees or help with skilled ones. With the amazing features, employers can see how well their employee is doing and what they need help with. They can also see if they are improving with this application and focus on that. The app has a few courses for employees such as Sales Pitch and Closing, Workplace Mindfulness, Business Networking, Learn English for Business, etc.

This app is meant to be used using a VR headset. This is because the application tries to make sure that the user feels like they are really in that situation. When you practice a speech for any situation, you normally do it alone in a room by yourself. Other people also practice in front of people they know to practice eye contact or get feedback. However, this isn't the same as practicing in front of an audience of people you don't know. With this app, you are now able to practice alone and still be able to do your speech in front of an audience. You can also change the situation that will best fit what kind of audience you will face in the future. This will give the user the same feeling that they will have if they were in front of a real audience. If you need to do a speech in front of 100 people, it kinda hard to find 100 people to just practice your speech. With this VR app, you can simulate that situation easily and get a feel for that kind of audience as well as give feedback that is appropriate to that kind of audience.
