For many young children, this is within the embrace of their parent or primary caregiver. They’re always welcome to move, wriggle, and adjust as needed, following their own rhythms. This approach helps their body release tension and supports natural development in a way that feels comfortable and safe.

Here you'll find answers to common questions I get asked by clients.
What age is considered to be a child?
From 0-12 years old
Can I leave my child with you while I run an errand?
No, you or another adult must be present during the appointment. If you need to leave briefly to use the bathroom (for example) then I will pause the session and wait for your return.
Can I bring their younger siblings with me?
Consider what is best for the child that is having the session. Some children feel comforted by having their sibling with them, and some find it distracting.
As their caregiver, you know your child best and can choose the environment that will help them feel most at ease. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to get in touch with me.
My baby is already in a lot of pain - will a session hurt them?
No. Contact CARE sessions are non-invasive and do not involve manipulation. Touch is always guided by comfort, and I only work where your baby or child shows signs of ease.
I closely observe how your child naturally soothes and regulates themselves, and gently follow and support those responses. For very young children, it’s common for a parent to hold them during the session, with my hands placed around the outside of that supportive embrace.
Your child’s comfort and sense of safety are always the priority.
Can you help if my child was born with the aid of forceps?
Some parents choose to explore Contact CARE sessions in these circumstances, particularly if they notice signs of tension, sensitivity, or movement challenges as their child grows. Sessions are gentle and non-intrusive, and work with the body’s responses to early physical experiences.
Does my child need to see you if they were born via a cesarean section?
Babies born by caesarean section enter the world in a different way from those born vaginally. During a vaginal birth, a baby experiences natural compression as they move through the birth canal, which is part of the body’s early sensory and physical experience.
Some parents choose Contact CARE sessions to help their child’s body explore and integrate aspects of this early physical experience. Sessions are gentle, non-intrusive, and guided by the child’s comfort, supporting ease, movement, and development as they grow.
