Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique performed by gently laying hands on an individual. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words; “Rei” and “Ki”, which loosely translates to “life force energy guided by Source”. This energy can stop flowing in the body if there has been physical or emotional pain. Chronic blockages can lead to physical and mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety. Reiki is a type of energy healing that works to improve the flow of energy, stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities, remove blockages, as well as promote physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Reiki can be given in-person or at a distance, as energy is intuitive and flows where it needs to go.
What to Expect:
● Reiki sessions take place lying down or in a sitting position
● You will be fully clothed in the session
● Sessions begin with a 10-15 minute check-in/consultation on how you’ve been feeling
● Based on the practitioner and your preferences, in person Reiki may include aromatherapy, guided meditation, crystals, and props to get comfortable (bolsters, blankets, etc.)
● Once you are all settled in, your practitioner will start the session by testing your seven chakras
● You may feel warmth or heat from the practitioner's hands and/or energy pulses gently waving through the body
● Some clients see the energy as colors
