Brandy Deem, LPC, MA. Ed.
Brandy has recently started at our practice after working in community mental health and looking for a change of pace. Brandy has immediate openings and is looking forward to starting her new journey with you.
Brandy is a licensed professional counselor, with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Trine University and a Master of Art in Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron. Brandy has experience working with individuals of all ages with special interest and experience with adolescents and adults. She utilizes techniques from cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical-behavior therapy, motivational-interviewing and person-center therapy to incorporate an eclectic approach to each session. She works with clients struggling with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and communication issues. Brandy tailors each session to fit the goals of each client utilizing mindfulness, play, psychoeducation, and art to help clients reach their goals and utilize a collaborative approach. Brandy has previous experience working in a mental health agency setting in office with children, adolescents, adults, and families. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and spending time in nature. Both telehealth and office-based sessions are available.
