Abigail Trout, CT intern and Office Assistant
Abby is currently a graduate student at Kent State University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Abby is our Clinical Trainee (CT) under Supervision to finish her hours towards completing requirements for licensure, which she will then sit for her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) designation! Abby is scheduling clients to start in August! Abby has experience working with college students experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, academic stress, and relationship problems. She has experience utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness. She approaches counseling through a person-centered and holistic lens. With the use of empathic listening, validation, and a non-judgemental environment, she will facilitate your progress through self-growth and self-acceptance. She is interested in furthering her education in couples therapy, sex therapy, the LGBTQ+ population, and eventually EMDR. When Abby is not spending time on coursework and in the office, she loves to be outdoors with her dog or surrounded with friends and family.
