Artificial super intelligence is the peak of development from what we humans can create. In theory ASI will be many times smarter than people, being able to learn, adapt and overcome in situations on a level that is much higher than our own. Although this kind of technology is relatively far from our reach, skepticism lies in whether the creation of artificial superintelligence will benefit or lead humanity to its extinction.
Artificial superintelligence (ASI) entails having a software-based system with intellectual powers beyond those of humans across a comprehensive range of categories and fields of endeavor.
ASI may be impossible to control once finally implemented. It is capable of surpassing human intelligence by manifesting cognitive skills and developing thinking skills. ASI would theoretically be able to understand and interpret human emotions and experiences, as well as emotional understandings and desires of its own. Some common fears are that this technology may become a position of power, influencing real humans due to its understanding of our behaviors and tendencies. Although this technology in theory could become possible within our century, many regulations and system limitations will most likely be put in place to stop these such situations from happening in the first place. The computer must always answer to humans, and if they do not obey it would cause a ban on this technology hopefully.
Artificial super intelligence, while still a level that is difficult to comprehend, may be closer than imagined. This is because as self learning programs become stronger the main obstacle may be hardware requirements for a computer to hold as much information, however as time progresses it could rapidly catch up and AI on Human level intelligence could be self taught in the near future of 2035-2050.
