Benefits of AI

The current benefits that AI has to offer humanity using examples such as Watson and Siri as personal assistants, but how in the future the ai assistants can become more advanced. 

Currently, Artificial Intelligence is offered in many different forms, whether it be a bot that you can play against in chess all the way up to Autopilot in Tesla cars that can drive themselves without any user assistance. Artificial Intelligence is still years away from perfection but we currently have some amazing applications for it already in the real world, such as the Tesla cars. The other most used AI is often seen as negative to the consumer but AI is used in advertising with targeted advertisements companies which can offer you a more accurate and select listing of items that are for sale which in turn can make the company more money and give you a product which you might not have seen if not for the targeted advertisements. 

Smaller Benefits

Some of the smaller benefits of AI that are more commonly overlooked are: minimizing human error, taking risks in place of humans, being constantly available for use, and making faster decisions. In regards to minimizing human error, AI helps to not make these mistakes if it is programmed properly. The errors are able to be reduced through the process of taking previously gained information, applying an algorithm and producing a decision. As for taking risks in place of humans, AI has provided a way to overcome some otherwise risky limitations for human beings

Another benifit includes saving human lives, for example putting AI up for a task that can potentially harm or kill humans. Some examples include defusing a bomb going to space or, exploring the deepest parts of oceans. Having a machine with a metal body is helpful because they are resistant in nature and can survive unfriendly atmospheres. They also can provide accurate work and not wear out as easily.

Another huge advantage ( one of the most important) is performing repetitive tasks. We do a lot of repetitive tasks as part of our daily work, such as checking documents for flaws and mailing thank-you notes, among other things. This will allow for the “boring” tasks to be taken care of enabling us to do more creative tasks ultimately making us happier with our work

Finally, AI is quicker in the sense of decision making and in carrying out actions since it eliminates the emotional and practical aspects humans use when analyzing a situation and rather focuses on what is programmed.
