- Today I will compare 'magnitude' of integers
- So that I can determine which number is larger or smaller and represent them on the number line or order them in ascending and descending ways
- I know I got it when:
- use the inequality symbols to compare two integers
- put the range of integers in order
- access to the website and play game of Order and Compare integers

- teacher will draw the number line on the white magnetic board
- each students will be provided a number (positive or negative) card
- each student will use a magnet to attach their assigned number to the correct position on the number line

- students will work in pairs as 2 players
- read the introduction sheet
- each student will roll once the number dice and then compare the numbers they get for each turn by using the comparison symbols
Teacher:
- use an online name wheel picker to group each two students for the pair work
- hang out the introduction and activity worksheets and dice
- move around, make sure every student is on task and help if necessary

- students will use computers to assess Compare and Order Integers games in Sheppard software to practice and strengthen their understandings of comparing and ordering integers

Teacher writes a range of integers.
Before leaving the room, each student has to write their name or the correct order of numbers in the range and then give teacher on the way they leave.

- Did all students participate in the activity?

- Did all students basic computing skills to access the website and interact with the screen?
