Repertoire

1st round – at St. John's Church in Suure-Jaani

• Johann Sebastian Bach – Cello Suites BWV 1007–1012 (two movements with different characters at the selection of the participant will be performed)
• one freely selected work from a contemporary composer (written in 1980 or later), duration up to 5 minutes
• Artur Kapp – Prelude for Violoncello and Organ (will be performed with the organist provided by the organizer)

NB! The works of Bach and the contemporary composer will be performed in front of the altar and the Prelude of Artur Kapp in the organ loft

2nd round – at the Hall of Kondas House with Pärnu City Orchestra (conductor Kaspar Mänd)

• Joseph Haydn – Cello Concerto No 1 in C Major, Hob. VIIb/1, or No 2 in D Major, Hob. VIIb/2

NB! Please note that the orchestra will use the editions by Bärenreiter (see below).
