Serafim Volkov

Serafim Volkov (1994) started playing music at the age of six. He completed the cello class in the Mravinsky School of Arts for Children in 2011 and then continued studying music in the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg College of Music with Alexei Vasiliev. In 2014 Serafim was enrolled at the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory as a student of Alexei Vasiliev.

Serafim has participated in master classes given by Leonid Gorokhov, David Geringas, Martti Rousi, Jerome Perno, Natalia Gutman, Sergey Slovachevsky, Wolfgang Schmidt and Jens Peter Maintz. He has performed in the best concert halls in Russia, such as the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre and halls of the Philharmonic of Saint Petersburg and Moscow, as a soloist with an orchestra and has also given concerts abroad. Serafim has received prizes in many competitions in Russia and in the Baltic States.
