HOME
This object is not a butterfly nor a cloud; it is a home.
Water continues to pulse through like a lake
A pine tree brushes against the sky
A computer cant write it, a phone can not bring it home
The air smells like honey
The air soon clouds… with banging and yelling
Colors… once silky are now rough
The colors go from soft to slimy
Happy turns to sad.. Almost angry
Everything from flowers to cookies.. even gum remain
But my home is no longer mine
Nor a place i know

My poem stemmed from the picture of the Butterfly Nebula. The bright clusters and nebulae of planet Earth’s night sky are often named for flowers or insects. The dying central star of this particular planetary nebula has become exceptionally hot, shining brightly in ultraviolet light but hidden from direct view by a dense torus of dust.
This image to me look like two worlds clashing. I was trying to figure out a creative way using something like "love" to make my poem. I started with using some out door elements and then tying it in to space. I didn't want it to just be about space, I wanted to use something that would draw in the readers attention. As someone who doesnt have much background in science, I wanted to make it well rounded.
I hope you notice the abstract elements incorporated into this poem.
