Rebirth in some religions and philosophies is linked to the cycle of birth, death, afterlife, and reincarnation.
My interest is in the rebirth and awakening out of this endless trap.
It seems to me that in the creation of the false self comes a secondary creation of the need to grow, develop and eventually return to source after being trapped in an almost endless cycle of birth and death to overcome the insufficiencies of the falsely created self.
If our true nature is perfect pure awareness then this cycle described above is an illusory reality we have created due to our beliefs, especially in the false self, not to say that there is a true self but rather no self except the One.
I landed on this planet with complete amnesia and I am supposed to learn grow and pay for the shortcomings I have while having complete ignorance of how the whole thing took place.
My only desire was to escape this ridiculous and illusory process by waking up out of its dream.
The dissemination of the false self naturally causes birth into one's true nature of no self. Colin Francis
The whole journey of human life is a long fearful and sometimes tortuous trek towards a cliff edge. While all the experiences on the way seem to be extremely relevant and important in an imagined learning process, they become irrelevant when the cliff edge is reached. All concentration and thought is directed at the final task of leaping off the cliff and all previous experience and learning is put aside. This is the true point of surrender and letting go of the personal self and its misguided desires. Reconstruction and the new territory is ahead if the courageous leap into the unknown can be achieved.
In truth there is nothing to be afraid of because this is the Gateless Gate. Metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly.
Religion, spirituality, philosophy science and all the rest are all irrelevant at the cliff edge. To die before you die is the only way to wake up out of the egos' dream.
