The Online Orientation Modules take approximately 12 minutes ton complete. If you are unable to complete the module for any reason, please contact the Office of New Student Orientation & Welcome Programs.
The Online Orientation Modules will cover information you will need to know in order to get started at the College of Lake County. Reviewing these modules will prepare you for an academic advising meeting with your College and Career Navigator (CCN), and support your journey toward a college credential.
Throughout the modules, students will:
Learn about creating an academic plan, selecting a Field of Interest (FOI), and the types of academic programs offered at CLC
Create a financial plan to support their education, including financial aid and scholarships
Review CLC technology tools and resources
Inform themselves on how to register for classes and attend New Student Convocation
A part of your orientation process will be to attend New Student Convocation. Convocation is the official welcome to new CLC students and it includes an opportunity to meet with your assigned Academic Success Advisor (ASA) based on your Field of Interest.
More information regarding Convocation will be sent to your CLC student email after you register for classes. For more details, please refer to this webpage.
The final part of your orientation experience will be to complete the rest of our online modules. You should complete the Paying for College module, as well as the Ready to Launch module. Both modules will ask you for your CLC ID number, so make sure you have it handy!
