As College and Career Navigators, we are here to help you with the application process, selecting classes, and creating a plan to help pay for your education. The College of Lake County is a welcoming environment for all students, regardless of immigration status. Make sure to pay attention to the helpful tips below while filling out your application!
If you're looking to take Summer and/or Fall classes, the enrollment period opens around mid-March.
Summer semester classes typically run from June to July
Fall semester classes typically run from August to December
If you're looking to take Spring classes, the enrollment period starts around November.

Note: It's important to have your Social Security Number (SSN) on the CLC application if you are considering getting financial aid to help pay for your studies. Your FAFSA application and CLC application have to match in order to be processed. If you are not eligible to receive FAFSA benefits, you may be eligible to complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid.
No Social Security Number (SSN) is required for the application or if you do not wish to disclose it.
For the "Citizenship Status" question, select "Other."
For the question "If you are not a U.S. citizen, what is your home country of origin," you can select the appropriate answer or leave it blank.
Fill in your home country origin, followed by "UNK-Unknown Visa Category" for the Visa Type.
Schedule an appointment with your College and Career Navigator (CCN) to set up a time to go over your next steps.
If you're a student or parent of an undocumented student or have a DACA legal status, you might have some questions about attending CLC and paying for college. Illinois is currently one of only 19 states to allow in-state tuition rates for undocumented students!
