• Read the course descriptions! Course descriptions tell you what the class is about and the prerequisites needed to register

• Make a balanced schedule. Do you like to take classes back-to-back? Or do you need a little break in between to process the information? Don't overwhelm yourself and consider your commute time as you build your schedule

• Register early! The earlier you meet with your Academic Success Advisor (ASA) for 2nd semester classes, the better chance you have of getting your ideal schedule

• Utilize your Student Planner. Your Student Planner is located in your Student Center. This lets you see the classes recommended during your academic advising session
